"THE GAME CHANGER"

DJ Cheese has a long history in this thing We call the 'HIP HOP' He was born in W. Virginia then raised in Potters Crossing – Edison, N.J. and Later Move To Plainfield, N.J. when he was 8Yrs Old. Cheese started to deejay then, and as a teenager he traveled Europe and the states And Other Countries as a professional DJ with major artist like Lisa Lisa and the Cult – Jam, Samantha Fox, Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five, Eric B. & Rakim. Run of Run DMC and Jam Master Jay spoke of Cheese in his verse "Here We Go" (…"My Rhyme Comes Faster Than Dj Cheese, The DJ cut the record … from the valley below…).

DJ Cheese's song "King Kut" still gets play on the radio throughout the world, and has received awards here and in the U.K. "King Kut" was the first Hip Hop song to get primetime play in the New York market. This was a special achievement because at that time radio didn't play rap music before 9 pm., 7 days a week. In 1984, Cheese won the DMC World Title at the Disco Mix Championship DJ Battle for World Supremacy in Europe's Hipo Dome 1986. Cheese is a member of the DMC Technics Hall of Fame. The DMC battle is held annually, with regional competitions held throughout the world leading up to the main event in Europe. Prior to Cheese, the winners had all been mix deejays (deejays who mix music together). Cheese lit up the show by Introducing cutting, scratching And Turntables Tricks, Hand Cuffed, Blind folded, Spinning Around 360 And Cutting & Scratching With A Sneaker On His Hand, techniques the world had never seen before.

Cheese matured as hip-hop matured. Cheese's generation helped define the swagger, and confidence of the streets that trickled down into Hip Hop's culture today. His street smarts and charisma keeps him relevant and close to the hearts of Hip Hop hardcore audience's. Showmanship is part of his legacy – smashing deejays, rockin' crowds, and creating a strong following panning generations. Vibe Magazine's chronicle of Hip Hop in an article tiled " The Vibe History of Hip Hop" – edited by Alan Light.

The article paid homage stating " Centered around the turntable derring-do of DJ Cheese, "King Kut"'s atomic drum mix and sonic bell hook from "L'International" gave the Garden State its first hardcore hit." Many of his innovations and improvisations are recognizable standards in today's music. DJ Cheese is also in the Source Magazine's: 150 Greatest Moments; 89 "D.J. was the first DJ. to ever introduce scratching and turntable tricks to D.J. competition". He produced a track for Z-3 MC's called "Triple Threat". It's commonly sampled in music and commercials. He was first signed to Beauty and the Beat Records distributed by Profile and owned by Duke Bootee. There, Cheese produced records including "King Kut"; "Coast to Coast"; "What the Party Need" – Point Blank MC's; "Talking Dirty After Dark" soundtrack for Martin Larence's first movie. Cheese produced, scratched, and did drum programming on many big records including "Sun City", a track that featured Bruce Springstein, Eddie Kendricks, and many other huge artists participating to bring attention to apartheid, boycotting South Africa. He transcends time opening up for today's artist including G-Unit in Tallahassee, Florida. In 1999, the World Famous D.J Cheese and a long time friend and partner G man Allah teamed up to accomplish a childhood goal of theirs, making hot records for a living. They actually went a couple of steps further opening Undisputed Entertainment, an entertainment company with a young, urban, hip feel to it. Undisputed is marketing their brand, a way of life that is reflected in Undisputed Entertainment's productions. UndiEnt consists of a production company, publishing company, and recording studios based in Plainfield, New Jersey (birthplace of Parliament Funkadelic).
